A little while ago, I was in your situation. Just like you right now, I decided to change my financial situation, take control over my spending habits, and start improving my relationship with my finances. I was fed up with ridiculous interest rates, late fees, over limit charges, and embarrassing collection phone calls.

I have had credit card applications denied. I’ve had to pay 19% interest rate when I financed my first car. I had a collection record. A couple of years later, I had financed my second car at 21% interest rate and maxed out all of the credit cards that I had managed to get. Not fun.
My bank was so happy to have me as a customer, because they were making REALLY good money charging me overdraft fees on a regular basis.
One day I decided that this had to change! I could not and would not live like this any more!
