Conclusion

When managing your money, there are many tools that you can use to help you with the process. 

In this book, you have learned how to create and stick to a personal budget, how to spend less on the things you buy most, and how to earn a little bit of extra income to help you manage your budget.

When making a budget, remember to use actual numbers and create something that you feel like you can really stick to over time.  If you make your budget too unrealistic, then you will end up not using it at all and not seeing the benefits of the budget. 

Another key thing to remember when creating a budget is to involve all of the people who will be using the budget in its creation.  For example, if you and your spouse share money, then create a joint budget that you can both live with.

If your budget is not easy to balance, then you might need to either reduce your expenses or increase your income (or both). 

To reduce your expenses, look through your budget to see what you are actually spending your money on. 

Then, one category at a time, figure out ways to cut your expenses.

In order to save money, you don’t need to deprive yourself of some of the enjoyments of life.  You simply need to find a cheaper way to reach the same result.  For example, if you love spending the afternoon outside of the house with your children, consider fun, inexpensive options such as playing at a park or visiting a free museum.
