3.  Sell Items on e-Bay

If you are like most Americans, you have piles and piles of unused stuff lying around your home. 

Gather up all of the items which you no longer use and sell them on e-Bay.  You should start by selling items which are rare or unique, since these will bring in the most money. 

 

Then, start selling the other, more common, items that can be found around your house.

Here is a list of typical items that you could sell on e-Bay to make some extra money.

• Books that you will never read again
• Old clothes that are still in good condition
• Gifts from others that you never really wanted
• CDs/Tapes/Records that you won’t use
• Small appliances and furniture, such as lamps, blenders, or clocks that you no longer need
• Gaming equipment and games for consoles such as Wii, Game Cube, and Xbox
• Old movies that you won’t watch anymore

For items that are too large to ship or won’t get a good price on e-Bay, consider some of these other options for making money off of them.

• Sell them to a resale store, such as a used book store or furniture store
• Have a garage sale
• Advertise the items on Craigslist
• Sell clothes through a consignment shop
• Attend a flea market and sell your belongings there
